In this role, you will help define the next generation of AI-enabled and data-driven solutions within a highly regulated healthcare technology environment. You will sit at the intersection of market insight, product strategy, and emerging technology, identifying unmet customer needs and translating them into actionable innovation opportunities. Working closely with AI/ML experts, product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders, you will shape early-stage concepts and validate them through experiments and MVPs. Your work will directly influence new revenue streams, operational efficiencies, and product differentiation. This is a highly collaborative and exploratory role where curiosity, structured thinking, and strong communication are essential. Accountabilities
* Identify and evaluate new revenue opportunities by engaging with customers, internal stakeholders, and industry partners to uncover unmet needs and emerging trends.
* Lead discovery efforts by transforming ideas into structured problem statements, opportunity briefs, and early solution concepts.
* Explore AI, machine learning, generative AI, computer vision, and automation opportunities to identify new product capabilities and efficiency gains.
* Partner closely with AI/ML and data science teams to align on capabilities, brainstorm innovations, and assess feasible AI integration paths.
* Define and maintain an innovation portfolio, prioritizing opportunities based on business value, feasibility, risk, and strategic alignment.
* Facilitate workshops, ideation sessions, and design sprints with cross-functional teams to refine and validate concepts.
* Develop experiment and MVP charters outlining hypotheses, success metrics, risks, and expected outcomes.
* Collaborate with Product Owners to translate validated concepts into delivery backlogs and ensure continuity between discovery and execution.
* Analyze experiment results and customer feedback to recommend scaling, pivoting, or stopping initiatives based on measurable outcomes.
* Present clear business cases and recommendations to leadership, supporting data-driven decision-making and innovation strategy.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field; advanced degree or MBA is an asset.
* 7+ years of experience in software, data, product, innovation, R&D, engineering, or consulting roles with exposure to early-stage discovery work.
* Strong understanding of AI and data technologies, including machine learning, generative AI, automation, and computer vision.
* Proven ability to identify and shape new product opportunities, ideally including AI or data-driven solutions.
* Experience working with customers and stakeholders to extract insights and translate them into structured opportunity definitions.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and product teams, influencing without formal authority.
* Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to evaluate trade-offs and quantify business impact.
* Experience working in Agile environments and partnering with Product Owners and delivery teams.
* Excellent communication, storytelling, and facilitation skills for both technical and executive audiences.
* Comfort with experimentation-driven environments and iterative learning approaches.
* Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or clinical trials is a strong advantage.
