Head of Machine Learning, GenAI & Agentic Systems

Compensation: Up to $285K base + equity

Location: Remote, United States or Canada

Company: A fast-growing, remote-first B2B SaaS company transforming workflows in the construction technology space.

A scaling product-led SaaS business is hiring a Head of ML to lead its AI strategy, roadmap, and execution across the organization.

This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who can take AI from vision to production, define measurable success metrics, and build a scalable AI function inside a fast-moving technology company.

The Role

You’ll own the company’s AI vision and roadmap, working closely with executive leadership to drive adoption of Generative AI, agentic workflows, RAG, and traditional machine learning across customer-facing products and internal systems.

This is not a hands-off management role. You won’t be coding day to day, but you’ll stay close enough to the technical work to guide architecture, unblock teams, and ensure high-quality delivery.

What You’ll Do

* Define and execute the company’s AI vision, strategy, and long-term roadmap tied to measurable business outcomes

* Lead and scale a high-performing AI/ML function, including hiring, operating model, standards, and governance

* Oversee delivery of agentic AI and GenAI systems, including orchestration frameworks and model selection

* Own strategic direction for RAG platforms, including enterprise knowledge retrieval, quality, reliability, and consistency

* Establish KPIs, experimentation frameworks, and continuous improvement processes

* Partner with Engineering and Platform teams on an AWS-based AI ecosystem

* Ensure AI solutions meet privacy, security, and responsible AI requirements

* Act as a strategic AI advisor to senior leadership, influencing product strategy and investment decisions

What You’ll Bring

* 10+ years of AI / machine learning experience, including significant leadership responsibility

* Proven track record delivering production AI systems, not just prototypes or research

* Strong understanding of LLMs, RAG, agentic AI concepts, and key technical tradeoffs

* Experience leading cross-functional AI initiatives and managing executive stakeholders

* Ability to communicate complex AI topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

* Experience overseeing AI systems deployed on AWS

Bonus Points

* Experience with recommendation, ranking, personalization, or search systems

* Experience building AI functions inside scaling product organizations

* Background in marketplace products, workflow automation, or document intelligence
