The Head of Delivery Role

We are looking for a Head of Delivery Switzerland who combines strategic delivery leadership with hands-on program management excellence. In this role, you will be responsible for the overall steering and quality of all client delivery in Switzerland while personally leading our most strategic and complex AI and data engagements.

This is not a pure management role.

We expect approximately 70% of your time to be spent hands-on as project and program lead on strategic client engagements, with 30% dedicated to building delivery capabilities, leading your team, and driving operational excellence across the Swiss delivery organisation.

You will serve as the senior delivery authority in Switzerland, connecting strategic priorities, technical feasibility, and execution excellence while building a high-performing delivery team.

Job Requirements

Experience & Track Record

* 8+ years of experience in client-facing delivery of complex technology, data, or AI projects, with at least 3 years in a senior delivery or program leadership role

* Proven track record of leading multi-million CHF engagements end-to-end in consulting, agency, or professional services environments

* Demonstrated ability to combine strategic delivery oversight with hands-on program management in parallel

* Experience building and leading delivery teams (hiring, coaching, performance management)

* Strong exposure to the Swiss enterprise market, ideally with an established network in financial services, insurance, or pharma

Skills & Competencies

* Deep understanding of agile and classical delivery frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, PMI, PRINCE2) and the pragmatism to apply the right approach per context

* Strong technical understanding of data platforms, AI/ML solutions, and cloud architectures (no hands-on coding required, but you need to challenge technical decisions credibly)

* Exceptional client management skills: able to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes, manage C-level expectations, and turn delivery challenges into trust-building moments

* Excellent communication skills with the ability to operate fluently between business and technical audiences

* Commercial awareness: ability to identify upsell opportunities, protect scope boundaries, and contribute to account growth

Must-Haves

* Fluent in German and English (written and spoken); French is a strong plus

* Degree in business, IT, computer science, engineering, or a related field

* Willingness to work onsite with clients when required, primarily within Switzerland

* Comfortable in a fast-paced, lean agency environment where you build while you fly

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

Strategic Project & Program Leadership (70%)

* Personally lead and deliver complex, high-value AI and data programs across all phases, from scoping and architecture alignment to go-live and value realisation

* Act as senior delivery lead on strategic accounts, owning the client relationship, roadmap, and delivery outcomes end-to-end

* Structure and drive large-scale, multi-workstream programs involving cross-functional teams (data engineering, AI/ML, strategy, client stakeholders)

* Define and enforce delivery frameworks, milestone structures, and quality gates across your programs

* Shape delivery hands-on: from translating client requirements into executable plans to client-facing advisory and escalation management

* Drive pre-sales support with delivery logic, realistic effort estimates, and credible project planning

* Ensure technical feasibility through close alignment with tech leads and solution architects

Delivery Leadership & Operations (30%)

* Own the overall delivery quality, health, and performance of all projects in Switzerland

* Lead, develop, and grow the Swiss delivery team with full people management responsibility (hiring, development, performance, retention)

* Establish and continuously improve delivery standards, practices, and tooling across the organisation

* Drive delivery governance: portfolio-level reporting, risk management, and resource planning

* Act as escalation point for all Swiss delivery matters, proactively identifying and mitigating risks before they become client issues

* Contribute to company-wide delivery strategy together with the leadership team

* Foster a culture of ownership, execution excellence, and continuous improvement within the delivery team
