Head of Artificial Intelligence

Role: Head - Physical AI Stack

Required Technical Skill Set:

* 5+ years of relevant work experience in core AI technologies

* 12+ years of experience in AI/ML, HPC, compiler engineering, or semiconductor/ network product engineering.

Desired Experience Range: 15-25 years

Location of Requirement : Hyderabad/ Bangalore

Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

Must Have:

* Lead the strategy, architecture, and roadmap for the Physical AI technology stack spanning sensors, edge compute, embedded AI, and real‑world intelligence systems.

* Drive cross‑functional engineering teams to build scalable hardware‑software AI pipelines integrating perception, control, and on‑device inference.

* Collaborate with product, research, and platform groups to translate domain challenges into breakthrough Physical AI solutions and platforms.

* Oversee development of AI‑enhanced hardware modules, low‑latency accelerators, and optimized runtime frameworks for real‑world environments.

* Establish best practices for performance tuning, model compression, safety, and reliability for AI systems interacting with the physical world.

* Engage with customers, partners, and ecosystem leaders to shape innovation, influence technology direction, and enable differentiated market offerings.

* Deep expertise in AI model optimization, benchmarking, and deployment on various hardware.

* Proven track record in architecting solutions for embedded systems, silicon platforms, or AI accelerators.

* Architect and development of AI/Gen AI offerings and solutions for semiconductor platforms (e.g., AMD, Intel, Qualcomm, Nvidia).

* Evangelize open-source contributions and upstreaming efforts in compiler and AI toolchain communities.

* Experience working with semiconductor clients and OEMs on R&D and product engineering initiatives.

Good-to-Have:

* Compiler engineering - RISC-V ISA customization, GPU kernel optimization, and heterogeneous computing integration.

* Understanding of compiler toolchains (LLVM, Clang, GCC), heterogeneous computing, and AI frameworks

Role descriptions / Expectations from the Role

1.Lead cross-functional teams in building scalable AI platforms and HPC workloads for servers/ cloud and edge.

2.Shape and evolve TCS’s AI/GenAI product engineering strategy, service offerings and related solutions.

3.Define, Design and Develop PoCs, PoVs on recent AI/ GenAI trends and help extend TCS thought leadership.

4. Collaborate with R&D teams of Hi-Tech clients to create business and technical skills in AI technologies.

5.Represent TCS in client workshops, technical briefings, and industry forums.

Develop and present case studies, technical decks, and GTM strategies for semiconductor and OEM clients.
