GCP Data Engineer (Python, SQL, BigQuery)

Position Name – GCP Data Engineer with SRE/Ops

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled GCP Data Engineer with SRE/Ops experience to join a dynamic cloud engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform, data engineering pipelines, and infrastructure automation, along with exposure to operational support in an SRE environment.

Mandatory Skills

* Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, especially Google Cloud Storage (GCS) and BigQuery

* Strong proficiency in Python and SQL (including complex queries and data transformations)

* Experience working with GCP data engineering services such as:

* Cloud Composer (Airflow)

* Dataflow

* Dataproc

* Experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

* Working knowledge of Pub/Sub, Apigee, DataStream, and Google Cloud Data Fusion

Preferred Skills

* Experience in automation frameworks or scripting for operational efficiency

* Exposure to ServiceNow (incident, change, or workflow management)

* Experience working in or supporting SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) / Operations teams

* Strong understanding of production support, monitoring, and incident management practices
