An exciting opportunity has arisen at DPS – Digital and Product Solutions, under the DEKRA Digital Trust Services Group. The First-of-its-kind service which reflects a combination of cybersecurity, functional safety, and artificial intelligence (AI) testing and certification.
We are looking for a Functional Safety Sales Expert who will grow our customer base across Europe. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys opening new doors, building relationships from scratch, and creating business opportunities in industries where Functional Safety is essential (automotive, machinery, robotics, industrial automation, energy, and more).
What will be your responsibilities?
1. New Business Development (Hunting)
· Identify and approach new customers in target industries.
· Research markets, competitors, and customer needs.
· Generate leads and build a strong pipeline across Europe.
· Plan and execute business development actions for priority markets.
2. Solution Selling
· Understand Functional Safety needs
· Present our service portfolio simply and clearly.
· Lead customer discussions, explain processes and added value.
· Work closely with technical teams for scoping and project definition.
3. Opportunity Management
· Build and manage opportunities in CRM
· Coordinate quotes, proposals, and commercial negotiations.
· Follow up with prospects and convert leads to signed contracts.
4. Collaboration and Internal Alignment
· Work with global Functional Safety teams in Europe
· Align with technical sales, operations, and certification experts during the sales cycle.
· Contribute to sales planning and market strategy discussions.
5. Market Intelligence
· Track new regulations and industry
· Identify new service opportunities and support portfolio development.
What do we expect from you?
· Degree or Master's degree
· +10 years of experience in sales or business development
· Proven track record in hunting / new customer acquisition specifically for Functional Safety services.
· Experience in specific customer segments: Industrial, Machinery and Robotics.
· Excellent communication skills at all levels.
· Fluent in English, both writing and speaking.
· Tenacious and target-driven.
· High independence, motivation, and resilience.
· General Business/Industry awareness with an ability to identify opportunities.
· Team player with a real ability to network and collaborate.
· Enjoys working in an international environment.
· Ability to build relationships quickly.
