Founding Research ML Engineer

Early-stage, cybersecurity investment (valued over $100M at Seed), founded by a successful serial entrepreneur, is looking to hire a Founding Research with a strong background in Machine Learning (LLM), cybersecurity (ideally, exposure to endpoint solutions), and data telemetry

Summary:

Help architect the core ML pipelines and codebase for an industry-first solution in security. Our ideal candidate will be able to take research-grade ML experiments and ensure they can be run in a stable and repeatable manner in the enterprise.

Key Qualifications:

* Advanced degree in CS (or a related field) with 4+ years industry experience and 1+ years working with LLM's in a large-scale production environment

* Prior experience with a zero-to-one

* Proven ability to collaborate across different teams and adapt to new fields

* Previous publication history related to this domain would be ideal

Responsibilities:

* Design and implement data collection and telemetry systems that capture, process, and analyze large-scale security or operational data streams in real time

* Research and develop novel methods for threat detection, anomaly analysis, and behavioral modeling using statistical, ML, or signal-processing techniques

* Collaborate with infrastructure and data teams to ensure telemetry pipelines are secure, performant, and privacy-preserving across distributed environments

* Translate research insights into production-ready systems, validating results through experimentation, benchmarking, and continuous monitoring
