Founding Product & AI Engineer (Argentina or Germany)

Energy decisions are still made the same way they were 20 years ago: Excel models, static assumptions, and endless alignment loops.

We believe this will be replaced by autonomous optimization systems - software that continuously evaluates and improves decisions in real time.

FIDgate is building that system.

We already have a working decision engine, a modelling team with deep domain expertise, and early users applying it to real projects.

Now we’re turning it into a platform others can build on.

We’re hiring a Founding Product & AI Engineer (→ potential CTO).

This is not a role for someone who wants to manage.

This is for someone who wants to build.

Your first mission:

→ Ship the platform that puts our decision engine into the hands of our first adopters.

From there, you’ll:

– Turn our existing API into a clean, reliable interface that developers actually want to use

– Build AI-assisted features that help energy professionals understand and trust model outputs

– Own infrastructure, deployment, and the reliability baseline

– Work directly on the evolution of the decision engine itself

You’ll be working on real decisions tied to multi-million euro energy assets - not internal tools or dashboards.

What we’re looking for:

– Strong Python + TypeScript (you’ve built and shipped real systems)

– Experience integrating AI/LLMs into real products (not just demos)

– High autonomy - you figure out what matters and build it

– Comfort working close to the problem, not just the code

Nice to have:

– Experience in energy, infrastructure, or optimization problems

– Early-stage or founding team experience
