Founding Engineer

Replicas lets you manage background coding agents - swarms of frontier coding agents like Claude Code or Codex working in their own sandboxes. With their own customizable environments, they can iterate and work on any engineering task and deliver PRs.

Replicas comes from the vision proposed by AI 2027, whereby so much of humanity’s day-to-day work will be done by these fleets of AI agents, each equipped with the tools to complete tasks for anything from deep research to software engineering. Our mission is to build the infrastructure and tooling to control these background agents.

We want to build a team of exceptional people in San Francisco, to work on some of the most interesting problems and products of the next decade!

About You

We’re looking for people who chase as hard as they can. We want someone with opinions about where AI agents and software engineering is heading. Someone who has so many ideas, can build every step of the way, talk to customers, and go deep on technical problems.

You Are a Fit If

* You have startup experience (e.g founder / founding eng)

* You have a very, very green GitHub

* You use a lot of Claude Code/Codex/Replicas

* You have deep technical experience on anything

We do not require tech stack or past experience developing in the same field. Strong engineering and product talent will excel anywhere.
