Founding Engineer

At Maxmove, we're building a full-stack AI logistics platform that transforms the way goods move. We are creating the operating system for logistics — a digital infrastructure that makes transporting goods as seamless and connected as the internet. Starting in Germany, we are laying the foundation for smarter and more efficient logistics.

Tasks

As Founding Engineer, you’ll play a key role in building Maxmove.

* Own core product development: design and implement backend services, APIs, and architecture for Maxmove’s logistics platform.

* Manage infrastructure: databases, event bus, cloud deployments, monitoring, and CI/CD.

* Collaborate on technical roadmap, product direction, and architecture decisions.

* Rapidly prototype and validate features (AI-based matchmaking, route optimization, demand prediction).

* Hire and mentor the first engineers as the team grows.

* Establish engineering culture, best practices, and documentation from the ground up.

Requirements

* Strong engineering background with 3+ years of hands-on software development experience (startup or 0→1 experience a big plus).

* Proficiency in backend development (Go, Node.js/TypeScript) and solid understanding of APIs, databases, and distributed systems.

* Infrastructure: cloud deployments (AWS/GCP/Azure), Kubernetes, CI/CD, monitoring, and event-driven systems.

* Full-stack mindset — willing to work across backend, frontend (React/ Expo RN), and data pipelines when needed.

* Excited by the idea of using AI, real-time data, and optimization to reshape logistics and solve one of the biggest efficiency problems in Europe.

* Ownership mentality & hardcore work ethic — you take responsibility, move fast, and push through challenges.

* Problem solver who thrives in ambiguity, takes initiative, and figures things out independently.
