Join a founding team of Cornell alumni and ex-McKinsey founders automating the $13 trillion construction industry. As a Founding Engineer, you will own the platform end-to-end, building AI agents that transform weeks of manual bid comparisons into hours. You'll architect high-scale Node/TypeScript services and ship a critical Electron-based desktop application.

What You Will Do

* Architect and build core Node.js/TypeScript services, deciding when to utilize microservices versus monoliths for complex construction data models.

* Lead the development of a native-feel Electron desktop app for Mac/Windows featuring offline sync, file system access, and automated updates.

* Design the integration backbone connecting to Procore, SharePoint, and Excel using asynchronous job systems, webhooks, and robust retry logic.

The ideal candidate

* Has 4+ years of professional experience as a full-stack engineer, ideally as a founder or an early engineer at a high-growth startup.

* Deeply proficient in the modern JS/TS stack including Node.js, React, and PostgreSQL, with a proven ability to manage GCP or Supabase infrastructure.

* Thrives in 0→1 environments where they can context-switch between high-level architectural design and deep-diving into database indexes or CSS components.
