About the Company

WSI has spent over 30 years helping businesses around the world do better marketing. We started before search engines dominated the internet, before social media existed, and long before “AI strategy” was a buzzword. Through every shift in the digital landscape, we adapted, led, and grew — and today, we are the largest digital marketing network of our kind on the planet. With partners and clients across every continent, a globally recognized brand, and a team that has served 150,000+ clients around the world, WSI brings proven scale to everything we do. We’ve published three editions of our Amazon best-selling book, Digital Minds, and earned over 180 Web Marketing Association Awards — including Top Agency two years running. But what makes this moment especially exciting? We’re now channeling three decades of market intelligence, our unmatched global network, and deep digital expertise into something new: actively incubating and launching AI-powered ventures. This isn’t a side project. It’s a strategic priority — and we’re looking for the right person to lead the charge.

* 30+ Years in Business

* 180+ Industry Awards Won

* $150M+ Ad Spend Managed

About the Role

This isn’t a corporate innovation theater role — no endless slide decks, no innovation labs that never ship. This is a hands-on operator seat inside WSI’s AI Venture Incubator, built for someone who thrives on turning ambiguous early-stage concepts into real, traction-generating businesses. You’ll own the process from zero to momentum: validate ideas, find the winning wedge, get on the phones with early customers, and build go-to-market motion from scratch. When a venture hits its stride, you step into a business-unit leadership role — with real ownership, real accountability, and real upside. Between incubation cycles, you’ll plug into WSI’s broader growth priorities wherever the highest-leverage work is happening. No bench time. Always in the game.

Responsibilities

* Operate Like a Founder

* Take early-stage concepts and build them into real businesses through validation, testing, iteration, and relentless execution.

* Make fast, high-quality decisions with incomplete information — and adapt as the picture sharpens.

*

* Drive Product–Market Fit

* Lead discovery, customer interviews, and rapid experimentation to find the winning wedge.

* Iterate based on real market signal — not assumptions or internal consensus.

*

* Get on the Phones

* Contribute directly to outbound sales and business development: book conversations, pitch compellingly, learn from every objection, and close early customers.

* Treat every call as both a revenue opportunity and a discovery session.

*

* Build Early Go-to-Market Traction

* Collaborate on messaging, positioning, and channel testing to identify what resonates and what scales.

* Develop repeatable acquisition and conversion motions that can grow beyond you.

*

* Support Broader WSI Growth Initiatives

* Plug into strategic growth priorities across the WSI ecosystem between incubation cycles — wherever impact is highest.

*

* Transition Into Leadership

* When a venture achieves meaningful traction, step into the business-unit leader role with P&L ownership and accountability for results.

Qualifications

* Founder or entrepreneurial background: you’ve built something from scratch — a startup, product, or business line — and you know exactly what it takes to create momentum where none existed before.

* Business-unit leadership experience: you’ve owned a P&L, product line, or functional unit with real accountability and measurable outcomes.

Required Skills

* Strong sales capability: you’re genuinely comfortable with outbound, discovery, and closing conversations — especially in ambiguous, early-stage environments where the product is still finding its shape.

* Tech-savvy with AI fluency: you actively use modern AI tools in your own workflow and know how to translate AI capabilities into practical, sellable solutions for real customers.

* The traits that matter most: self-starter, agile, fast learner, naturally curious, resilient, and collaborative. You get energized by ambiguity, not overwhelmed by it — and you know how to bring people along with you.

Pay range and compensation package

$100,000–$150,000, flexible based on experience and the final structure of the role. This is a conversation — we want to build something that works for the right person.
