ABOUT THE ROLE:

This is a client-facing consulting role at an early-stage AI company. Think MBB-style engagement work, but you own the outcome through implementation. You embed with their teams, learn how they actually work, find where time and money are being lost, and build the case for what to automate. Then you work with our engineers to ship it.

The job is mostly on-site. You’ll interview department heads, map workflows, trace data across enterprise systems, and present findings to executive teams. You move between the operational details and the boardroom. Strong candidates have done some version of this before — consulting, solutions engineering, technical program management — and want a role where they’re building, not just advising.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Diagnose operations: shadow workflows, map processes, find inefficiencies

• Deliver clear outputs: roadmaps, ROI models, and exec-level recommendations

• Own client relationships and ensure real outcomes

• Translate audit findings into implementation specs for engineering

• Feed learnings back into the product and playbooks

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• 2+ years in management consulting (MBB, Deloitte S&O, Accenture Strategy), investment banking, enterprise operations, or solutions engineering

• Experience with process mapping, value stream analysis, or operational due diligence

• Strong analytical skills — you can build financial models, quantify ROI, and present to executives who stress-test your numbers

• Extreme ownership — you identify what needs to happen and execute without waiting for direction

• Sharp, polished, and can hold a room — clients need to trust you enough to tell you how their job actually works

• Technical curiosity — you don’t need to write production code, but you need to understand how AI agents work, what APIs do, and how data flows through enterprise systems

• Based in SF or willing to relocate. Willingness to travel to client sites (25–50%).

HELPFUL EXPERIENCE:

• Direct experience with enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, HRIS, procurement platforms)

• Background in operations, supply chain, finance, or revenue operations

• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, LLMs, or automation tooling

• Startup or early-stage company experience

• Prior client-facing technical roles (solutions engineering, customer success, technical consulting)
