This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Engineering Manager, IAM and Trust & Safety in the United States.

This role sits within a foundational product capabilities organization responsible for building the secure, scalable backbone of a high-growth digital platform. You will lead engineering teams focused on Identity & Access Management and Trust & Safety, ensuring the integrity, security, and reliability of core systems used at scale. The position combines technical leadership with people management, guiding teams that design authentication, authorization, and identity services while also developing systems that detect and mitigate fraud, abuse, and security threats. You will collaborate closely with Product, Security, Legal, and Platform teams to shape how identity and safety are implemented across products. This is a highly impactful role where your decisions directly influence platform architecture, user trust, and system resilience. The environment is fast-paced, innovation-driven, and increasingly shaped by the adoption of AI in engineering workflows and product capabilities. You will report to senior engineering leadership and help define long-term strategy in these critical domains.

Accountabilities

* Lead and grow engineering teams focused on Identity & Access Management and Trust & Safety, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

* Drive the design, development, and evolution of authentication, authorization, and identity services that are scalable, secure, and high-performing.

* Own Trust & Safety systems including fraud detection, abuse prevention, and real-time threat response capabilities.

* Provide technical leadership and hands-on guidance on system design, architecture, and engineering best practices.

* Define and execute roadmap planning aligned with product strategy, security needs, and emerging threat landscapes.

* Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Security, Legal, Compliance, and Engineering teams to embed safety and identity considerations across the lifecycle.

* Oversee operational excellence, ensuring high availability, observability, and reliability of critical platform services.

Requirements

* 5+ years of experience in people leadership within a platform or infrastructure engineering environment.

* Strong background in Identity & Access Management and/or Trust & Safety systems.

* Deep understanding of distributed systems, cloud architectures, and high-scale platform engineering.

* Experience building detection, prevention, or security systems, with familiarity in applying AI/ML concepts where relevant.

* Proven ability to design and operate high-traffic, high-availability systems.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex system issues.

* Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences.

* Demonstrated success mentoring engineers and driving team performance and growth.

* Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and shifting organizational priorities.

* Must be authorized to work in the United States (no immigration sponsorship available).
