It focuses on empowering clients to achieve healthier financial lives through trusted debt settlement services and support.

2. About the Opportunity:

The Engineer, Applied AI is responsible for the technical execution of enterprise-grade Generative AI initiatives, spanning prototyping to deployment. This role delivers AI solutions that enhance client experiences, improve internal operations, and enable scalable intelligent automation. The position works closely with cross-functional internal teams and external vendors to develop and deploy production-ready AI applications, including chatbots, document processing, summarization, voice AI, and analytics.

3. Responsibilities:

• Design, prototype, and deploy Generative AI solutions across client-facing and internal platforms

• Build and optimize applications using large language models, vector databases, prompt engineering, and retrieval-augmented generation pipelines

• Develop AI-powered chatbots ensuring scalability, compliance, and production-grade performance

• Collaborate on AI agents for digital and voice channels supporting real-time interactions

• Evaluate GenAI platforms and APIs, integrate off-the-shelf solutions, and support rollouts with external vendors

• Build proof-of-concept applications for emerging AI use cases like document classification and AI-powered knowledge assistants

• Optimize prompts, parameters, and model usage to enhance cost-effectiveness and accuracy

• Partner with ML/AI Ops Engineer to ensure robust data pipelines, deployments, and observability

• Align technical implementation with user needs, timelines, and priorities alongside the Senior Generative AI Product Manager

• Participate in architectural discussions to integrate AI across enterprise systems

4. Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field

• 4 years of experience in machine learning, NLP, or AI engineering, with recent focus on Generative AI

• Proven experience deploying production-grade AI chatbots within the last two years

• Expert Python programming with ML and GenAI libraries (e.g., LangChain, Transformers, OpenAI, Hugging Face)

• Proficiency with vector databases (e.g., FAISS, Pinecone, Chroma, Weaviate) and building RAG pipelines

• Experience in prompt engineering, model tuning, API orchestration, and LLM evaluation

• Solid SQL skills and familiarity with data platforms such as Snowflake

• Strong communication skills to explain AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders

• Ability to collaborate effectively in fast-paced environments with multiple teams and vendors

• Preferred: experience in financial services, voice AI deployment, Snowflake/dbt familiarity, Salesforce integration, GenAI applications like OCR/NLP, and regulated environment support

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Salary range for this position is $129,500.00 to $149,000.00
