About The Role
As a member of the GreyOrange’s CRO Team, the Director of Solutions Engineering leads a team of customer-facing technical experts responsible for aligning product capabilities with customer business outcomes throughout the pre-sales lifecycle and may participate in ensuring that post Go Live deliverables match original expectations. This leader partners closely with Sales, Product, Partner Management and Delivery Success to drive technical strategy, accelerate complex deals, and ensure scalable, repeatable solution delivery.
The role balances technical leadership, commercial awareness and operational excellence, helping the organization win strategic opportunities while protecting long-term customer success.
You will own defining GreyOrange’s solution design and execution strategies for controlling software and automation operations in warehouses. The successful candidate will be able to deep-dive into technology and business aspects. S/he will ideally have both a strong background in the Supply Chain and Warehousing domain and Robotics/Automation, combined with strong business acumen, allowing the candidate to provide deep analysis on new technologies and architectures while simultaneously judging the market potential of those emerging products and solutions. The ability to work cross functionally with other functions in the organization like product management, automation engineering and operations is critical. Candidates should have a proven track record defining complex and cross-functional products with solution strategies.
Key Responsibilities
* Responsible as Head of Solutions - for strategizing for and scaling the Solutions Group to support and sustain hypergrowth for the company’s business across multiple geographies and industries
* Establishing the Solutions team as a Center of Excellence by developing operational best practices, improve software demo quality, indicate domain expertise, and producing the best-in-class quality solutions
* Manage, Coach and Upskill a team of Solution Architects and Solution Consultants - distributed across geographies - and collectively translate market/customer requirements to define "WHAT" needs to be done and "WHY" to provide the right solutions for customers’ business needs
* Increase Win rates & Deal velocity through Technical excellence
* Provide market/customer context to the Solutions, Product, and Engineering teams
* Directly work with customers to understand their business requirements and devise solutions collaborating with Customer partners, GO partners and other ecosystem players
* Ensure that Solution architectures are scalable and repeatable
* Review market and customer research to shape future direction, develop product and solution concepts, and present recommendations to senior leadership.
* Setup and drive Customer Advisory Boards - providing customers early access and collaboration on the Product Roadmap, while working closely with strategic customers to create solutions for the key industry challenges
* Develop high-performing pre-sales demo talent
* Be the in-market presence Solutions leader to drive the company’s vision and thought leadership to the customers and market
* Upgrade/Build playbooks for Discovery, Solution design, Demos, and Proof-of-concepts
* Own and drive key business metrics - for customer satisfaction, operational efficiency improvements, and business expansion with existing customers
* Experience of managing a team of solution managers or consultants for 7+ years
* Experience creating solutions to map technology solutions to a customer’s business while optimizing resources and processes
* Experience in Product lifecycle management
* Delivered complex B2B SaaS based enterprise products
* International exposure and ability to collaborate with cross-functional and international teams
* Strong business/financial acumen and quantitative skills with excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
* Excellent stakeholder manager with strong negotiation and articulation skills
* Background in robotics, automation, supply chain technology, or AI platforms
* Experience with WMS/WES/WCS, orchestration software, AI platforms or enterprise operations tools
* Familiarity with cloud platforms, APIs, and enterprise integrations
* Prior experience as a Solutions Engineer, Architect, or Technical Sales Leader
* Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business Operations
* A Master's Degree / MBA would be an added advantage
