We're searching for a highly skilled DevOps Engineer / SRE in the Payments space to join a system integration partner of ours in Johannesburg.

Please note, this is a 6 month extendable contract.

Required Skills & Experience:

* Proven track record managing AWS at scale (EKS, RDS, EC2, IAM, networking).

* Experience in a Payments-focused background.

* Expertise in observability stacks (Grafana, Prometheus, Loki).

* Solid experience with PostgreSQL and Redis in production.

* Proficiency in CI/CD using GitHub Actions and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/CloudFormation).

* Experience achieving and maintaining 99.99% uptime in production systems.

* Strong understanding of AWS cost management and optimization.

* Familiarity with incident management processes, SLAs, and root cause analysis.
