Databricks Solution Architect

This role sits at the intersection of advanced data architecture, cloud engineering, and customer-facing consulting, where you will design and deliver scalable Databricks-based solutions for enterprise clients. You will act as a trusted technical advisor, guiding customers through complex data transformations and helping them unlock value from modern lakehouse architectures. Working closely with sales, engineering, and data science teams, you will shape end-to-end solutions that support analytics, AI, and GenAI initiatives. This position combines deep technical expertise with strategic pre-sales influence, enabling you to impact both solution design and business growth. You will also contribute to architectural standards, best practices, and continuous innovation across the Databricks ecosystem. It is a highly collaborative, client-facing environment where your ability to translate business needs into robust technical solutions is critical.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will define, design, and guide the implementation of scalable data solutions based on Databricks Lakehouse architecture while supporting both delivery and pre-sales activities. You will ensure architectural alignment, technical feasibility, and customer success across complex data initiatives.

* Lead end-to-end solution architecture for Databricks-based data platforms, including integration into broader enterprise data ecosystems

* Design data pipelines, architecture documentation, and technical frameworks while providing effort estimation and solution planning

* Act as a senior pre-sales technical advisor, supporting sales cycles and demonstrating platform value to enterprise customers

* Build proof-of-concept and demo applications showcasing Databricks capabilities across analytics, AI, and GenAI use cases

* Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to support AI/ML solution development and production deployment

* Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks while ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions

* Conduct deep technical reviews, optimize Databricks implementations, and contribute to platform best practices

* Provide mentorship and technical guidance to teams while staying current with Databricks product evolution

Requirements

You bring strong experience in data architecture, consulting, and customer-facing technical roles, with deep expertise in Databricks and modern data platforms. You combine technical depth with communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

* 5+ years of experience in pre-sales, solution architecture, or technical consulting roles

* 3+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks and at least one professional-level Databricks certification

* Strong background in big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka), data warehousing, or data engineering

* Solid experience with SQL and database systems, along with programming skills in Python, Scala, Java, or R

* Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

* Experience translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions and architectures

* Strong understanding of data science, machine learning, or real-time data applications is highly valued

* Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and customer-facing presentation skills

* Strong problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and structured delivery approach

* Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field preferred
