About the Role

As Data Partnerships Lead, you will own the end‑to‑end pipeline for acquiring and monetizing training data. This is a highly strategic role that requires both business acumen and a deep understanding of AI/ML data needs.

You’ll identify potential buyers (foundation model labs, generative AI startups, voice & vision companies), negotiate licensing agreements, and build lasting relationships to drive revenue.

What You’ll Do

* Source and qualify buyers. Proactively map the AI ecosystem, from large model labs to emerging audio/video startups, to find the right clients for our 10 000+ photo, video and audio datasets. Develop a pipeline of qualified leads and cultivate relationships with decision makers.

* Define and negotiate deals. Structure, negotiate and close data‑licensing agreements. Balance pricing, usage rights and ethical considerations to create win‑win partnerships.

* Coordinate across teams. Work closely with legal, data engineering and research teams to translate data requirements into clear contracts and ensure timely delivery.

* Build scalable processes. Establish repeatable workflows for outreach, contract management and onboarding so we can scale from one deal to dozens.

* Track market trends. Stay informed about new AI models and modalities; identify emerging buyers and prepare our offering accordingly.

* Represent the company. Attend industry events and conferences, present our datasets to technical and non‑technical audiences, and serve as the face of our data partnerships program.

You May Be a Fit If You

* Have 5–8+ years of experience in data partnerships, business development or licensing within AI, tech or media sectors.

* Understand AI/ML data requirements and can discuss topics like dataset diversity, bias and quality with technical stakeholders.

* Are a master negotiator who can balance commercial terms and long‑term relationships.

* Thrive in ambiguity, turning vague problems into structured plans.

* Enjoy working at the intersection of product, legal and business.

* Communicate clearly and persuasively in English; additional language skills are a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

We offer a competitive salary plus commission and equity, benchmarked against leading AI companies. Recent Data Partnerships Lead roles at AI labs offer total compensation between $175 000–$475 000 USD, with fixed salaries of $138 000–$160 000 and incentives bringing total packages to $225 000–$252 000. Your exact package will depend on experience and deal performance, and includes health benefits, flexible PTO and the option to work remotely from key hubs in Southeast Asia or North America.
