Role: Data Engineer

Location: Remote

Role Overview:

We are hiring a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain the data

infrastructure that fuels Joveo's machine learning models and business

intelligence. You will work at the intersection of software engineering and

data — building pipelines that are reliable, scalable, and production-ready.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and maintain scalable batch and real-time data pipelines

- Build and manage data warehousing and lakehouse architectures

- Ensure data quality, lineage, and observability across all pipelines

- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to provide clean, usable datasets

- Optimize query performance and infrastructure costs on cloud platforms

- Document data models, pipelines, and ingestion processes thoroughly

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Strong experience with Python or Scala for data pipeline development

- Proficiency with pipeline orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, or similar)

- Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake)

- Solid understanding of SQL and data modeling best practices

- Experience with streaming frameworks (Kafka, Spark Streaming, or Flink)

- Familiarity with dbt, data contracts, or modern data stack tooling
