The Role
As a Data Engineer Intern at Tennsa, you will work directly on the infrastructure powering our enterprise data intelligence platform. We are looking for an engineer passionate about data and tech, with a hunger to create and scale in the startup space.
Key Responsibilities
* Pipeline Development: Build and optimize asynchronous ingestion workflows.
* Database Architecture: Write high-performance SQL and work extensively in the cloud to handle complex data aggregations and cleaning.
* Data Management: Manage, manipulate, and analyze diverse data files while building and improving the Tennsa data engine.
* Infrastructure: Assist in managing deployments and monitoring system resource usage.
Requirements/Qualifications
* Proficiency in Data Engineering and Data Modeling.
* Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
* Experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes and Data Warehousing.
* Understanding of Data Analytics and its application in business intelligence.
* Strong fundamental understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and ML workflows, with a proven ability to apply these technologies to solve complex data challenges.
* Firm understanding of Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, GCS, etc.) and a strong desire to learn enterprise cloud architecture.
* You enjoy solving real industry challenges, including optimization, error handling, and data integrity. You are a proactive builder with a creative approach to problem-solving and a drive to create tangible value within a scaling environment.
* Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
