Data Engineer (f/m/x)

Sii Sweden is growing our Data & Analytics offering and we are looking for Data Engineers to us on fascinating projects with customers across industries as healthcare, finance, and others.

In this role, you will build robust data pipelines and scalable data products that make data accessible, trustworthy, and easy to use for analytics, reporting, and AI initiatives.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand business needs, translate them into technical solutions, and help establish ways of working and best practices for long-term maintainability.

Your tasks

* Design, build, and maintain reliable data pipelines (batch and, when relevant, streaming)

* Transform raw data into structured datasets and data products optimized for consumption

* Ensure data quality, traceability, documentation, and operational stability

* Collaborate with stakeholders (analytics, BI, data science, and business) to prioritize and deliver value

* Contribute to architecture decisions, standards, and best practices across the data platform

* Support deployment and operations through testing, monitoring, and CI/CD ways of working

Requirements

* At least 3 years of experience working as a Data Engineer building pipelines and data products in a modern data stack

* Strong SQL skills and solid programming skills in Python (or Scala)

* Good understanding of data modelling

* Experience working in cross-functional setups and communicating solutions in a clear, practical way

* Structured, proactive way of working with strong ownership and delivery focus

* Fluent English and Swedish

Nice to have

* Previous work with Databricks/Spark, Snowflake, or BigQuery

* Experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)

* Familiarity with data governance, cataloging, lineage, and access management
