Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with hands‑on experience across Azure and GCP cloud platforms, strong expertise in Apache NiFi, PySpark, Kafka, and advanced SQL. The ideal candidate will design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and real‑time data processing solutions, supporting enterprise‑grade analytics and data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

* Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using PySpark for batch and stream processing.

* Build and manage data ingestion and orchestration workflows using Apache NiFi.

* Develop real‑time and near‑real‑time data streaming solutions using Apache Kafka (producers, consumers, topics, partitions).

* Implement data engineering solutions on Azure and GCP, leveraging cloud‑native services.

* Write and optimize complex SQL queries for large‑scale data processing and analytics.

* Integrate data from multiple sources (RDBMS, APIs, files, streaming sources).

* Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across pipelines.

* Work closely with architects, analytics teams, and downstream consumers.

* Participate in data platform modernization and migration initiatives.

* Support CI/CD pipelines and follow data engineering best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

Core Skills (Mandatory)

* Strong SQL expertise (complex joins, aggregations, performance tuning).

* PySpark / Apache Spark for large‑scale data processing.

* Apache NiFi for data ingestion and flow management.

* Apache Kafka for streaming data pipelines.

* Cloud experience on Azure and GCP, including:

* Azure Data Factory / Databricks / ADLS (or equivalent)

* GCP BigQuery / Dataflow / Cloud Storage (or equivalent)

* Experience working with structured and semi‑structured data formats (Parquet, JSON, Avro).

Salary Range - CA$ 100,000 - CA$ 120,000 Per Year
