Data Engineer | About You

As a Data Engineer, you are responsible for building, validating, and supporting enterprise‑scale data pipelines that power analytics, reporting, marketing insights, and royalty management. You thrive in complex data environments where accuracy, reliability, and traceability are critical to business success. You bring a strong blend of hands‑on ETL development, data analysis, and data validation expertise, with the ability to ensure data is trustworthy from source to reporting layer. You collaborate closely with BI developers, data architects, QA teams, and business stakeholders to resolve data issues and maintain high data quality standards. You are detail‑oriented, analytical, and comfortable working across the full data lifecycle in Agile delivery environments.

Data Engineer | Day-to-Day

* Design, develop, and maintain end‑to‑end ETL pipelines using Talend Studio and Informatica to support enterprise analytics and reporting.

* Build and maintain Databricks notebooks using Python, PySpark, and SQL for data ingestion, transformation, and validation.

* Perform detailed data analysis, reconciliation, and validation to ensure accuracy and completeness across multiple source systems.

* Execute complex SQL queries to validate source‑to‑target mappings, transformation logic, and data integrity.

* Conduct ETL testing and data quality assurance, identifying and resolving data issues before impacting reporting and analytics.

* Collaborate with BI, data architecture, QA, and business teams in an Agile delivery environment, supporting sprint planning and issue resolution using JIRA.

Data Engineer | Skills & Experience

* 5+ years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or enterprise data warehousing roles.

* Strong hands‑on experience with ETL development using tools such as Talend Studio and Informatica.

* Advanced proficiency in SQL, including writing complex queries for data transformation, reconciliation, and validation.

* Hands‑on experience working with Databricks using Python, PySpark, and SQL for data processing and analytics.

* Proven experience performing data validation, ETL testing, and data quality assurance across large, complex datasets.

* Experience working with enterprise data platforms such as Teradata, Amazon Redshift, and Amazon Aurora (PostgreSQL).

* Familiarity with Agile delivery environments and tools such as JIRA and HP ALM, with strong collaboration skills.

* Experience in media, broadcasting, subscription services, or royalty‑based data domains, including OEM or consumption data analysis.
