About The Position

At Kreditz, data is not just a support function, it is the core of our product. We turn raw bank transactions into real-time insight that powers credit & risk decisions across Europe.

As we scale, we’re strengthening our data foundation and building a modern, reliable, and cost-efficient data platform. We’re now looking for a Data Engineer to join our Product team and take ownership of our Data Warehouse, pipelines, and reporting enablement across the business.

This is a hands-on role for someone who loves building scalable data infrastructure and wants to work close to both product and real business impact.

RESPONSIBILITES

Some Of The Main Responsibilities You Will Cover

* Maintain & Enhance the DWH: Own the architecture of our Data Warehouse, ensuring it is scalable, cost-effective, and optimized for both analytical and operational needs.

* Pipeline Automation: Design, build, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest data from various sources into our AWS ecosystem. Work closely with our MLOPs Engineering team to assist the data pipelines for our AI / ML models

* Stakeholder Enablement: Work closely with Product, Finance, and Commercial teams to automate internal reporting and create self-service data environments.

* AWS Infrastructure: Leverage and manage AWS services (such as Glue, Redshift, Athena, Lambda, and S3) to ensure a high-performing data environment.

* Data Quality & Governance: Implement monitoring and validation frameworks to ensure data integrity and lineage across all systems.

* Collaborate: Partner with our DevOps and Backend teams to align infrastructure and ensure smooth data flow across the entire Kreditz platform.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We focus on practical engineering skill, strong foundations, and the ability to build systems that last.

In Addition To That We Believe You Have

* BSc / MSc in a quantitative subject, i.e., Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or equivalent.

* 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering or a similar role focused on data infrastructure.

* Expert-level SQL skills for complex transformations and performance tuning.

* Proficiency in Python for building pipelines and automating tasks.

* Strong hands-on experience with AWS (specifically services like Redshift/Snowflake, S3, Glue, and Lambda).

* Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts (e.g., Star Schema, Kimball) and modern data stack tools.

* Experience with orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Dagster) and CI/CD workflows (i.e., GitHub Actions).

* Ability to translate complex technical data structures into clear insights for non-technical stakeholders.

Meritorious Skills

* Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).

* Experience from FinTech, Open Banking, or working with highly regulated data.

* Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., AWS QuickSight, PowerBI...etc)
