Data Engineer | High-Growth FinTech | Expanding Data Platform | AI and Pricing Infrastructure | Frankfurt (Hybrid)

AI Futures have been exclusively retained to find a Data Engineer. This is an opportunity to join a fast growing financial technology business that has seen strong year on year growth and is now operating at a multi million euro annual run rate. The company is continuing to invest heavily in its data infrastructure, analytics capability, and AI driven products to support the next stage of expansion.

This role will focus on building scalable data pipelines, core data infrastructure, and AI supported analytics tools. Much of the work will be built from the ground up, giving you the opportunity to shape how data is structured, processed, and used across the business. The environment is highly collaborative and suited to someone who enjoys building new systems and taking ownership of their work.

You will be required to be based in Frankfurt 2 days per week.

The fixed salary is up to €90k.

The Role

* Translate business needs into structured data requirements and assess source data for quality and usability

* Design and build ETL and ELT pipelines using both low code tools such as RapidMiner and high code approaches such as Python

* Carry out hands on analysis to identify patterns, test hypotheses, and where relevant develop forecasting or machine learning models

* Build dashboards and internal tools that allow teams across the business to make better data driven decisions

* Work with external developers to help scale and productionise data pipelines

The Candidate

* Proven experience building data pipelines within a modern data stack such as data lakes or SQL based architectures

* Experience with low code analytics platforms or a willingness to learn them. Python experience is a strong advantage

* Comfortable working in Microsoft environments including Excel and Power BI. Azure experience would be beneficial

* Exposure to machine learning or advanced analytics would be useful but is not essential

* Strong analytical thinking with the ability to translate business problems into practical technical solutions

* Candidates must be German speaking at a professional level
