In this role, you will act as a key technical leader guiding enterprise customers through their Google Cloud data transformation journey. You will design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective data architectures that turn complex datasets into actionable business value. Working at the intersection of business and technology, you will translate requirements into robust cloud-native solutions across modern data platforms. You will also play a critical role in shaping data strategy, enabling analytics, and supporting large-scale migrations to Google Cloud. This is a highly collaborative position where you will engage with stakeholders, engineering teams, and leadership to deliver end-to-end solutions. Accountabilities
* Act as a key architecture advisor, bridging business and technical stakeholders to define scalable and effective data strategies aligned with client objectives and cloud transformation goals.
* Design and implement end-to-end data architectures on Google Cloud, including data platforms, pipelines, storage, orchestration, security, and analytics layers.
* Lead the development of Proof of Concepts (POCs) and Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) to validate architecture approaches and accelerate solution delivery.
* Support complex data migration initiatives, including transformation of database structures, SQL translation, and workload migration into BigQuery and Cloud SQL environments.
* Configure and deploy Google Cloud components using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and ensure reliable, repeatable cloud infrastructure setups.
* Provide expert-level guidance through workshops, technical reviews, and advisory sessions to client teams on architecture, tooling, and best practices.
Requirements
* Strong experience in database management and IT, with deep expertise in data architecture design and cloud-based data solutions.
* Hands-on experience with Google Cloud services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataproc, Dataflow, and Cloud Functions.
* Advanced SQL skills with ability to write, optimize, and interpret complex queries, plus experience with data modeling in BigQuery.
* Proficiency in data engineering frameworks and tools such as dbt or Dataform, along with orchestration tools like Airflow or Cloud Workflows.
* Strong programming skills in Python, with experience using data processing frameworks (Spark, Beam, Pandas) and API development tools (FastAPI, Flask, or similar).
* Experience leading or supporting large-scale data migrations (e.g., Teradata, Oracle, MySQL, Postgres to cloud platforms).
* Google Cloud Professional certifications (Architect or Data Engineer) are highly preferred.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business recommendations.
