In keeping with this vision, Plus Company is building a cutting-edge "Agentic Backbone" to power our agencies' data-driven offerings. As the Lead Cloud Architect, you will be part of the infra team’s ownership for the entire cloud infrastructure that makes this possible. Your main responsibility is to design, build, and evolve a highly scalable, resilient, and performant platform exclusively on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). While you will be the chief architect, you will work closely with the Security Engineer for embedding the security into every layer of the platform, acting as a key partner to Plus Company’s central security leaders to ensure the infrastructure is robust and compliant.

As a Lead Cloud Architect, you will:

* Own the Cloud Architecture: Act as the ultimate owner and technical visionary for the Agentic Backbone's end-to-end GCP infrastructure, making key decisions on networking, compute, storage, and data services.

* Design for Scale and Performance: Architect a high-availability, multi-regional platform capable of supporting complex AI/ML workloads and high-volume data pipelines with services like Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and Vertex AI.

* Embed Security by Design: Integrate security as a foundational pillar of the architecture. You will design and implement robust controls for the network (VPCs, firewalls), identity (IAM), and data, ensuring the platform is secure from the ground up.

* Automate Infrastructure: Lead the charge on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to create a fully automated, repeatable, and scalable environment.

* Govern and Optimize: Establish and manage best practices for cloud governance, including cost management, resource optimization, and performance monitoring.

* Partner on Security & Compliance: Serve as the primary architectural authority and partner with Plus Company’s security leadership to ensure the platform meets all corporate governance, risk, and compliance standards (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001).

* Drive Technical Innovation: Stay ahead of the curve on GCP services and cloud-native technologies, driving the evaluation and adoption of new tools and methodologies to enhance the platform.

Requirements:

* Experience: 7+ years of experience designing and operating large-scale, mission-critical cloud infrastructure.

* GCP Mastery: Deep, hands-on expertise with Google Cloud Platform is mandatory. A proven track record of architecting complex solutions with services like GKE, BigQuery, Cloud Networking, and Vertex AI is required.

* Architecture Certification: A Google Professional Cloud Architect certification is strongly preferred.

* Security Expertise: Strong, practical knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices. Security-focused certifications (e.g., Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer, CISSP) are a significant advantage.

* Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Extensive, hands-on experience building and managing cloud infrastructure with Terraform is required.

* AI/ML Infrastructure: Experience architecting infrastructure to support AI/ML and data science workloads is highly desirable.

* Leadership & Communication: Must be a strong communicator and leader, capable of articulating a clear architectural vision and collaborating effectively with engineering teams, product owners, and senior leadership.

* Education: Masters degree or greater in Computer Science or a related technical field is preferred.
