Position: Gastroenterologist

Type: Contract

Compensation: $150–$200/hour

Location: Preferred in person (SF)

Commitment: Up to 10 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

* Review and label clinical narratives, EHR notes, endoscopy reports, imaging findings, and case data related to gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary conditions.

* Identify and validate diagnoses, diagnostic workups, procedural findings, treatment plans, and outcomes such as IBD, GI bleeding, liver disease, and malignancies.

* Audit annotated datasets for clinical accuracy and guideline alignment with AGA, ACG, and AASLD.

* Evaluate AI-generated recommendations for diagnostic evaluation, medical management, and procedural interventions.

* Define annotation guidelines for complex GI conditions like inflammatory bowel disease, cirrhosis complications, and pancreatic disorders.

* Provide structured feedback to improve diagnostic reasoning, procedural accuracy, and patient safety.

Qualifications

Must-Have

* MD or DO with Gastroenterology specialization

* Board-certified or board-eligible in Gastroenterology

* Active U.S. medical license in good standing

* 5+ years of post-fellowship clinical experience

* Strong familiarity with EHRs, endoscopy reporting systems, and clinical terminologies

Preferred

* Experience with endoscopy, inpatient consults, and complex GI/hepatology cases

* Interest in medical AI or informatics
