Job Title: Chaos Engineer

Location: Toronto (Hybrid)

Mode: Contract (1 year with possible extension)

Client: HCLTech Canada

Mandatory Skills: Chaos engineering & Performance engineering Tools – Gremlin, LoadRunner, any APM tools

Requirements:

* Design and execute controlled chaos experiments to validate system resilience

* Inject failures across application, infrastructure, network, and cloud layers

* Identify single points of failure and systemic risks

* Work with architecture and DevOps teams to improve fault tolerance and recovery

* Validate high availability, disaster recovery, and resiliency patterns

* Leverage APM and observability tools like Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Prometheus, Grafana

* Correlate chaos and performance test results with monitoring insights

* Establish performance and resilience baselines

* Support production performance and stability analysis when required

* Integrate performance and chaos testing into CI/CD pipelines

* Practical experience with chaos engineering concepts and tooling

* Working knowledge of Java‑based applications and backend services
