The Role
We are looking for a Business AI Engineer to join our Tech team and be a direct partner to the G&A and GTM staff. This is a brand-new role at PointFive - and a genuinely unique one.
You'll sit at the intersection of technology and business, acting as the dedicated technical engine for our GTM and G&A teams. Your job is to make our internal teams dramatically more efficient by building AI-powered workflows, automations, and standalone tools - so that Sales, Marketing, Revenue Operations, Finance, and HR can operate at a pace and precision that wouldn't otherwise be possible.
This is not a traditional data engineering or software engineering role. You won't be building customer-facing products. You'll be building the internal operating system of a fast-scaling startup - translating business problems into durable, AI-native systems that eliminate manual work and create leverage across the company.
What You'll Do
* Build AI-powered systems that augment Sales, Marketing, Revenue Operations, Finance, and HR — including lead enrichment pipelines, outreach automation, CRM intelligence, internal reporting agents, and more.
* Own end-to-end automation for GTM and G&A functions -from scoping business requirements to designing, building, and maintaining production-grade workflows and tools.
* Develop standalone applications and internal tools that allow business teams to operate independently, without relying on the core engineering team.
* Design and maintain data pipelines that combine our GTM and G&A tech stack with our product’s core analytics data and capabilities — ensuring clean, structured, and accessible data flows across systems (CRM, marketing platforms, Customer Data, HRIS, etc.).
* Identify high-leverage automation opportunities by working directly with GTM and G&A stakeholders, translating pain points into scalable technical solutions that leverage AI extensively.
* Prototype fast and ship to production — moving from idea to working automation quickly, then iterating based on real usage.
What We're Looking For
* A builder's mindset - you find energy in solving operational problems with elegant technical systems, and you take pride in work that gets adopted and used.
* 5+ years of experience in a data engineering, or GTM engineering role, ideally in an AI-native / B2B SaaS or high-growth startup environment.
* Strong hands-on experience with workflow automation platforms such as n8n, Make, Zapier, or similar.
* Proficiency with AI-native development and an ability to design prompts and pipelines that deliver reliable, production-grade outputs.
* Strong understanding of data concepts - APIs, webhooks, data modeling, ETL/ELT, and SQL.
* Comfort operating in a fast-moving environment where requirements evolve and you'll need to make pragmatic decisions with incomplete information.
* Strong communication skills - you can translate between business stakeholders and technical systems, and you know how to ask the right questions before you start building.
* Familiarity with cloud platforms and basic DevOps operations, including experience with application deployment.

Compensation Range: $170K - $195K
