Biochemistry Subject Matter Expert (AI Training)

About The Role

We're looking for PhD-level Biochemists to help train and refine some of the world's most advanced AI models. Your deep scientific expertise will directly shape how AI reasons about protein folding, metabolic pathways, enzyme kinetics, and more — contributing to AI systems that could transform scientific research.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. No prior AI experience required.

* Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

* Design Advanced Problems — Craft challenging biochemistry problems across domains like nucleic acid chemistry, proteomics, structural biology, and drug-target interactions to stress-test AI performance

* Author Ground-Truth Solutions — Develop rigorous, step-by-step technical responses that serve as gold-standard benchmarks for AI scientific reasoning

* Audit AI Outputs — Evaluate AI-generated biochemical pathways, molecular structures, and mathematical proofs for accuracy, safety, and scientific validity

* Refine AI Reasoning — Identify logical errors such as incorrect stoichiometry, flawed stereochemistry, or misapplied biochemical principles, and provide structured feedback to improve model performance

Who You Are

* Advanced Degree: PhD (completed or in final stages) in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a closely related discipline

* Domain Expertise: Strong foundational knowledge in areas such as structural biology, enzymology, cellular metabolism, or bioinformatics

* Scientific Writer: Ability to communicate complex biological and chemical concepts clearly and precisely in written form

* Detail-Oriented: High precision when reviewing chemical equations, molecular diagrams, reaction mechanisms, and experimental protocols

* No prior AI or machine learning experience required

Nice to Have

* Experience with data annotation, evaluation systems, or quality assurance workflows

* Familiarity with computational biochemistry tools such as PyMOL, AlphaFold, or BLAST

* Background in scientific writing, peer review, or technical editing
