About The Position

Kreditz is looking for a Backend Engineer to join our Tech team.

In this role, you will design, develop, and evolve scalable backend services as we modernize our infrastructure. You will play an important role in shaping backend architecture, defining clear APIs between services, and ensuring our platform remains robust, secure, and efficient in a high-growth FinTech environment.

RESPONSIBILITES

Some Of The Main Responsibilities You Will Cover

* Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs

* Define and evolve backend architecture, including service boundaries and API contracts between microservices

* Build and deploy services on AWS using ECS, Fargate, and Service Connect.

* Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to design scalable, maintainable solutions.

* Implement and maintain automated tests and CI/CD pipelines.

* Work with serverless technologies (AWS Lambda) for event processing.

* Perform code reviews and contribute hands-on to projects.

* Leverage AI agents and tools to enhance development workflows and productivity.

* Document system architecture, development processes, and integrations.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR

A motivated and skilled Backend Engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment. You have strong backend fundamentals and architectural thinking, and you enjoy designing systems that scale.

We Believe That You Have

* A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent practical experience.

* 5+ years of experience in backend development.

* Experience with Go (or willingness to pick it up quickly)

* Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS (ECS, Fargate, Service Connect)

* Strong experience in API design (REST and/or gRPC) and defining service contracts (OpenAPI)

* Experience designing backend architectures in microservice-based systems

* Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).

* Familiarity with containerization (Docker/Podman).

* Familiarity with messaging and event-driven systems (SQS, SNS)

* Experience with databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, DynamoDB.

* Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry, X-Ray).

* Proficiency with Git and version control workflows.

* Excellent English communication skills (Swedish is a plus).

* Interest in using AI agents and tools as part of daily development work

Nice To Have

* Experience with Ruby on Rails and/or Python

* Experience working in FinTech or other regulated environments
