Backend Lead - API Engineering

Summary

We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer with deep backend experience to do development for API platforms as enterprise products, enabling secure, reusable, and scalable backend capabilities across web, mobile, partner, and internal channels. The role emphasizes API lifecycle management with Node.js, TypeScript, and AWS serving as complementary implementation enablers. Key Responsibilities •

Lead development of APIs as products, including design standards, lifecycle, versioning, reuse, and deprecation.

Help in managing AWS-based API Marketplace / API Hub, where APIs are published, discoverable, and self-service for multiple channels.

Contribute to enterprise API governance covering security, throttling, backward compatibility, and documentation.

Hands on in API development coding and designing end-to-end backend solution architecture, ensuring scalability, resilience, observability, and regulatory compliance.

Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of experience in API engineering Proven experience building API platforms treated as long-lived products Hands-on knowledge of Node.js, TypeScript, and AWS cloud-native/serverless services Good to have experience in regulated or financial services environments
