The program has successfully scaled automated QA in support functions and is expanding into complex, higher-risk areas such as Fraud, Integrity, Trust & Safety, and in-house support. 2. About the Opportunity
The Associate Manager, QA Strategy & Operations will lead large-scale AI-driven quality programs from design through production. This role centers on developing and governing automated QA systems, driving improvements in the accuracy, stability, and adoption of AI-generated quality signals. It involves leading cross-functional initiatives and collaborating with Product, Machine Learning, Engineering, Operations, and Policy teams to influence how quality is defined, performance is managed, and risks are mitigated at scale. This position combines individual contributor responsibilities with early people management and strategic leadership.
3. Responsibilities:
• Lead expansion of AI-led QA systems into complex domains, defining automation boundaries and human judgment needs
• Design and operationalize scalable quality signals including rubric logic, precision thresholds, and control mechanisms
• Partner with ML and Calibration teams to improve signal accuracy, reduce false positives/negatives, and manage feedback loops
• Translate ambiguous quality challenges into structured processes from intake through governance
• Influence QA technology and model roadmaps by prioritizing automation, tooling, and infrastructure investments
• Establish process frameworks for scalable, safe AI quality programs including intake, SLAs, readiness criteria, and documentation
• Drive cross-functional alignment and execution across Product, Engineering, Operations, and Policy teams without formal authority
4. Requirements:
• 6–8+ years of experience in strategy, program management, operations, product operations, or quality systems, preferably in AI-enabled or data-driven environments
• Experience managing large-scale process or platform launches with focus on accuracy, governance, and change management
• Comfortable working at the intersection of AI models, business rules, and operational workflows
• Strong understanding of signal quality, including false positives, calibration tradeoffs, thresholds, and their impacts
• Structured thinking and execution rigor in ambiguous, multi-stakeholder environments
• Ability to collaborate effectively with Machine Learning and Engineering teams without being a model builder
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt design, conversational analytics, or AI QA systems is a strong plus
• Commitment to building fair, accurate, trusted, and scalable systems
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• The national base pay range for this position within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado, is $95,200—$140,000 USD
• Compensation includes opportunities for equity grants
• Starting pay is determined based on skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions
