Lead GenAI System Architect & AI Engineers

London, Hybrid Working (2/3 day onsite)

A global firm is expanding and hiring experienced Lead GenAI System Architects to work on some of the most ambitious AI and data transformation programmes in the market.

You will work with senior stakeholders across large enterprises, designing and delivering production-grade Generative AI solutions that solve real business problems. The work goes far beyond experimentation. These are large scale, enterprise deployments shaping how organisations use AI.

This role combines deep technical expertise with strategic thinking. You will architect complex AI systems, guide delivery teams, and help clients translate AI capability into commercial impact.

What you will work on:

* Design and architect end-to-end Generative AI and machine learning solutions for enterprise clients

* Lead the development of advanced AI pipelines including data ingestion, preprocessing, model development, evaluation and deployment

* Build and deploy production grade AI systems including large language models and generative architectures

* Design scalable architectures for LLM applications including prompt engineering, RAG pipelines and vector search

* Implement secure, robust and responsible AI systems with strong evaluation and governance frameworks

* Collaborate with senior stakeholders to translate business challenges into technical AI strategies

* Guide engineering teams and promote best practices across AI development and delivery

* Evaluate emerging AI technologies and integrate them into client solutions where appropriate

What you bring:

* Strong experience designing and deploying enterprise scale AI or machine learning systems

* Deep technical capability in Python and modern AI frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow

* Hands on experience building Generative AI systems including LLMs, RAG pipelines and prompt engineering

* Experience with vector databases and modern GenAI tooling such as LangChain or similar frameworks

* Strong cloud experience across AWS, Azure or GCP

* Understanding of MLOps or LLMOps including CI/CD, monitoring and model governance

* Strong communication skills. You can explain complex AI concepts clearly to business stakeholders

* Experience delivering AI solutions within complex industries such as financial services, healthcare or other regulated environments is highly valuable
