Responsibilities and more:
ABOUT US
* Inspiratek LLC is a US-based e-commerce company generating $18M+ annually on Amazon, with an expanding presence on TikTok Shop and DTC Shopify. We operate 5 private label brands with 20+ active products across the portfolio.
* What makes us different: we're building one of the most data-driven operations in the private label space. Our team uses advanced analytics, AI-powered operational agents, custom data pipelines, and structured decision frameworks to manage every aspect of the business , from keyword-level PPC decisions to inventory forecasting to competitive intelligence. This isn't a company where you'll be making gut calls. Every decision is backed by data, and every action plan has measurable outcomes.
* We're a 27-person distributed team across the world. We operate in a fast-paced, high-autonomy environment where ownership and accountability matter more than hours logged.
THE ROLE
* This is one of our most critical hires. Our logistics department has more work than bandwidth, and we've learned through hard experience what this role needs. Two of our four strategic pillars — Supply Chain & Supplier Management and 3PL & FBA Operations — have minimal formal coverage today.
* Here's the reality:
* $30K+/month in Amazon storage fees, with LTSF as a compounding financial crisis needing systematic management
* Supplier negotiation, freight optimization, and cost benchmarking remain unaddressed
* Forecasting needs to mature from reactive to cross-functional — incorporating PPC, deals, channel data, and seasonal patterns
* 3PL strategy is nascent — needs formalization as a resilience layer
* All China-based suppliers need consolidated relationship management
* Without this hire, financial exposure continues to compound, lead times remain un-optimized, and the department cannot operate across all four pillars simultaneously.
WHAT YOU’LL OWN
* Pillar 1: Inventory Intelligence & Demand Planning
* Own days-of-supply (DOS) targets, safety stock methodology, and the forecasting process across all SKU tiers
* Keep hero SKUs (60-80% of revenue) within target supply windows
* Build cross-functional forecasting incorporating PPC spend, deals calendar, seasonal patterns, and channel-specific data
* Own sell-through rate optimization across the portfolio
* Pillar 2: Supply Chain & Supplier Management
* Build this function from the ground up — your greenfield opportunity
* Manage relationships with China-based suppliers across satin, bamboo, and cooling product lines
* Establish the full PO lifecycle: issuance to production tracking to QC inspection to freight to receiving
* Create supplier scorecards tracking lead time, defect rates, cost per unit, and responsiveness
* Drive freight optimization and own COGS tracking end-to-end
* Pillar 3: 3PL & FBA Operations
* Define and track 3PL SLAs: processing time, storage costs, outbound accuracy, prep quality
* Plan inbound shipments strategically to minimize placement fees
* Build a reimbursement recovery process
* Develop 3PL as a resilience buffer for demand spikes and supply chain disruption
* Pillar 4: Cost Optimization & Storage Governance
* Drive systematic fee mitigation across LTSF, SUR, shipping rates, and landed cost
* Own the financial exposure dashboard
* Build removal/liquidation ROI models
* Make sure we NEVER get surprised by a cost cliff we should have seen coming
* Pillar 5: Team Development & Process Formalization
* Lead existing operators and grow the function
* Document SOPs for ALL recurring processes
* Establish cadences that run without prompting
* Build a department that works even when you're not in the room
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
* First 30 Days
* Complete onboarding across all four pillars — map current state, tools, team, pain points
* Present a 90-day action plan with prioritized initiatives and quick wins
* Establish working relationships with each team member
* First 90 Days
* Independently running weekly KPI cadence — CEO not required in the room
* Supply Chain and 3PL pillars documented with first improvements underway
* Storage fee exposure under systematic management
* First supplier scorecard completed; freight optimization opportunities identified
* By 6 Months
* All four pillars staffed and operating with documented SOPs
* Cross-functional forecasting process live
* LTSF fees trending down month-over-month
* By 12 Months
* KPIs trending positively: DOS, storage fees, forecast accuracy, landed cost
* Department absorbs demand fluctuations without crisis escalation
* Leadership oversight shifted to monthly strategic reviews
WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR
Requirements:
* Strong proficiency in written and spoken English
* 4-6+ years in logistics or supply chain roles, 2+ years owning outcomes in a leadership or senior IC capacity
* Hands-on Amazon FBA experience — LTSF mechanics, SUR, inbound planning, placement fees, fee structures
* Experience managing at least one 3PL relationship end-to-end
* Track record of building processes from scratch in a resource-constrained environment
* Experience managing or building a small logistics team (3-8 people)
* Advanced Excel / Google Sheets fluency — you'll build models, dashboards, and trackers from day one
* Financial acuity — you translate logistics decisions into dollar impact
Strong Preference
* Experience with China-based suppliers and international ocean freight
* Familiarity with FBA reimbursement processes
* Experience scaling logistics for 100+ variations (color/size matrix)
* Understanding of how PPC and promotional activity affect inventory planning
You’ll thrive here if you:
* Treat the department’s financial exposure like it’s your own money—you don’t wait to be told something is a problem
* Instinctively create repeatable processes rather than solving the same problem manually each time
* Can look at a list of urgent items and pick the ones that actually matter this week, then communicate clearly about what’s being deferred and why
* This Isn’t For You If
* Your strength is strategy and frameworks but you’re not excited about personally pulling data and building spreadsheets—at least until the team grows
* You need heavy top-down direction to know what to work on, or you need perfect information before you’re willing to make a call
* Your experience is entirely in enterprise or Fortune 500 logistics without e-commerce or Amazon exposure
* You see a small, early-stage team and think “that’s beneath me” rather than “that’s a chance to build something”
WHAT YOU'LL GET
* Competitive salary based on experience
* Fully remote position. Work from anywhere
* Direct access to the CEO. Your ideas and analysis reach the decision-maker, not a middle manager
* Advanced tooling and infrastructure, including AI-powered analytics, custom dashboards, and automated reporting that let you focus on strategy instead of data entry
* A team that values data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement
* Opportunities for growth as the company expands into new marketplaces and channels
* Employee discounts on Inspiratek products
