AI Systems Engineer
CollaberaSeeking a Systems Engineer / Platform Engineer to support its global AI initiatives. The role focuses on platform engineering, automation, and operational support for AI-driven platforms.
The engineer will work closely with the Data and AI organization to build and maintain scalable infrastructure that supports AI/ML workloads and automation across the platform.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide platform engineering and operational support for Manulife’s global AI platforms.
* Design and build automation solutions to improve platform engineering processes and infrastructure efficiency.
* Support and maintain cloud-based AI infrastructure on Azure.
* Work with AI teams to integrate AI models and services into enterprise platforms.
* Manage and support AI/ML operational workflows (MLOps) including deployment, monitoring, and optimization of AI models.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance platform reliability, scalability, and automation.
* Support development and deployment pipelines using DevOps tools such as GitHub, CI/CD, and Jenkins.
* Contribute to code reviews and technical validation, particularly in Python and Java environments.
* Work with platform frameworks such as Akka to support scalable distributed systems.
* Assist with troubleshooting platform issues and ensure high availability of services supporting AI initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
* 5–7 years of overall IT experience.
* 2–4 years of experience working with AI/ML technologies or AI-enabled platforms.
* Strong experience with Azure Cloud Infrastructure.
* Hands-on experience with any AI integration technologies such as: SLM (Small Language Models), LLM (Large Language Models), A2A (Agent-to-Agent frameworks), MCP (Model Context Protocol or similar AI orchestration frameworks)
* Experience with AI/ML Ops (MLOps) practices.
* Strong DevOps skills, including experience with: GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins
* Programming experience with Python (for platform infrastructure and automation).
* Familiarity with Java (mainly for code review and platform support).
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
* Strong technical skills, communication abilities, and a flexible working attitude.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills:
* Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
* Experience working within Data and AI organizations or AI-driven platforms.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments.
