Full Description

About Catalyze Labs

Catalyze Labs is an AI-native systems and product studio. We partner with enterprises to design and deploy production AI systems that sit inside real operations; often messy, regulated, and deeply human.

Our work spans healthcare, financial services, logistics, and enterprise operations. We don’t sell tools or experiments. We build end-to-end systems that combine AI, automation, software, and people, and we stay involved until they work in the real world.

Our client counterparts vary widely depending on the organization and problem: CTOs, COOs, product leaders, engineers, operators, and functional VPs. What they have in common is responsibility for outcomes.

The Role

We’re hiring an AI Solutions Architect to lead the design of complex AI systems from problem framing through deployment.

This is a client-facing, architecture-led role focused on system design, orchestration, and decision-making, not day-to-day production coding. You’ll work closely with clients and internal engineers to translate ambiguous operational problems into scalable, production-ready AI solutions.

This role is a strong fit for a senior architect (or a standout mid-level builder) who wants to grow into a Lead Architect / Partner-track position over time.

What You’ll Do

* Lead architecture and system design for client AI initiatives

* Translate business and operational problems into end-to-end AI systems

* Design workflows that combine LLMs, automation, APIs, data systems, and human review

* Define system boundaries, responsibilities, failure modes, and escalation paths

* Serve as a technical thought partner to client stakeholders (CTO, product, engineering, operations, etc.)

* Collaborate with engineers to guide implementation and productionization

* Evaluate tools, frameworks, and platforms ... and decide when simplicity beats novelty

* Document architectures, tradeoffs, and patterns that scale across clients

* Contribute to internal standards, reusable components, and solution templates

What We’re Looking For

Core Qualifications

* Experience designing and owning complex software or systems architectures

* Strong understanding of modern AI systems, especially LLM-based workflows

* Comfort working in ambiguity and defining the problem before solving it

* Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

* Experience in client-facing or cross-functional environments

* Systems thinker who considers reliability, adoption, and real-world constraints

Bonus (Nice to Have)

* Experience with workflow/orchestration tools

* Experience integrating AI into legacy systems or UI-driven workflows

* Background in regulated or high-stakes environments (healthcare, finance, enterprise ops)

* Startup, studio, or consulting experience where ownership matters

What This Role Is (and Isn’t)

This role is:

* Architecture-led and outcome-driven

* Client-facing and collaborative

* Focused on shipping real systems

This role is not:

* A research or experimentation role

* A prompt-engineering-only role

* A pure backend/frontend engineering position

* A strategy-only or slide-deck role

Growth & Path

This role is designed to grow into a Lead Architect → Partner track position for the right person. That means increasing ownership over system design, client relationships, and internal standards; while staying close to the work.

Why Catalyze Labs

* Work on real AI deployments with real impact

* High trust, high ownership environment

* Direct exposure to enterprise decision-makers

* Influence how AI systems are actually built and adopted

* Small, senior team with strong technical and operational standards
