AI Platform Engineer
Rets AIRets AI is hiring a Backend Engineer.
We are building the AI operating system for commercial real estate investment firms. Our platform replaces fragmented workflows across document processing, data structuring, and deal analysis with a single intelligent infrastructure layer. We are growing fast, backed by institutional investors, and already deployed with firms across the CRE industry.
We are looking for a backend engineer to join us in Dallas, TX. Remote is an option for the right person.
What you will work on:
* TypeScript / Node.js backend systems powering the core platform
* Relational database design with PostgreSQL and Prisma
* API design across REST and server actions
* AI/LLM integration, building pipelines against foundation model APIs
* Event-driven architecture: background jobs, queues, async workflows
* Auth, payments, and third-party SaaS API integrations
* Real-time systems including pub/sub and WebSockets
* Working within a monorepo codebase
Bonus if you have experience with:
* Infrastructure and self-hosting: deploying and managing open-source services, containerized workloads, protocol integrations
* Document collaboration server architecture
Who this is for:
Rets AI operates out of downtown Dallas. Engineers here work directly alongside the founders and ship into production systems used by institutional CRE firms. There is no separation between the engineering team and the product, and the hours are incredibly long. This is an opportunity for someone in their career who wants to develop quickly in a fast-paced environment where their contributions are visible, tangible, and consequential from day one.
Compensation:
* $70,000 - $100,000 base salary depending on experience
* No equity at start, with a path to equity based on performance
* This begins as a paid work trial so both sides can evaluate fit before committing long-term
Location: Dallas, TX preferred. Remote considered.
