Feroot Security is a VC and Y Combinator-backed cybersecurity startup (~50 people) specializing in AI-powered client-side security and compliance. We protect Fortune 500 companies in healthcare, e-commerce, financial services, and government with products like PaymentGuard AI, HealthData Shield AI, and AlphaPrivacy AI. Our research has been cited in U.S. Congressional testimony.

The Role

We’re looking for an AI-native web developer who lives at the intersection of modern web development and AI-assisted tooling. You’ll manage our WordPress website, build and maintain Chrome/Edge browser extensions, and develop productivity web apps and internal tools. You’ll use AI development tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and Replit as your daily drivers.

Responsibilities

* Maintain, update, and optimize the Feroot Security WordPress website (themes, plugins, landing pages, performance).

* Build and ship Chrome and Edge browser extensions (Manifest V3).

* Develop productivity web apps and internal tools for marketing, sales, and operations.

* Use AI development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Replit) daily to accelerate development.

* Manage and configure AI chatbots, agents, and automation tools across the company.

* Own CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions for automated testing, builds, and deployments.

* Collaborate with the engineering and marketing teams to ship product-led growth tools (e.g., free web scanners, audit dashboards).

* Deploy and manage projects on Cloudflare Pages/Workers and other environments.

Technical Skill Requirements (Must-Have):

* Strong communication skills; ability to collaborate with both technical and executive-level stakeholders.

* WordPress: Theme and plugin development, PHP fundamentals, WP REST API, page builders.

* Python: Scripting, automation, API integrations, and data processing.

* HTML/CSS: Responsive design, CSS frameworks (e.g., Tailwind).

* Claude Code and other AI development tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Replit) as daily drivers.

* Proficiency in Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript for both front-end and back-end development.

* Ability to read and debug code and API calls.

* Chrome DevTools for analyzing, troubleshooting, and replicating customer issues.

* Understanding of DOM structure, CSS/XPath selectors, and front-end security best practices.

* Deep familiarity with the JavaScript ecosystem (frameworks, bundlers, package managers).

AI-Native Development Skills (Required)

* Claude Code - daily driver for agentic coding workflows

* Cursor or similar AI-assisted IDE - productive use for code generation, review, and debugging

* GitHub - version control, CI/CD, and collaboration alongside AI tools

* Replit / Replit Agent - rapid prototyping and deployment of web apps and MVPs

* Prompt engineering - ability to write effective system prompts and manage AI tool outputs

* LLM API familiarity - Anthropic and OpenAI APIs for building AI-powered features

* AI chatbot/agent management - configuring, monitoring, and iterating on AI tools and automation

Preferred Skills (Bonus)

* Knowledge of containerization, AWS, and modern development best practices.

* HubSpot integrations or marketing automation tools experience.

* Published Chrome or Edge extensions on their respective web stores.

* Familiarity with PCI DSS, HIPAA, or GDPR/CCPA compliance concepts.

* Understanding of client-side security: CSP, script injection, tracking pixels.

* Experience with Google Analytics (GA4) and Microsoft Clarity.

Compensation

* $90,000 - $150,000 CAD annually, depending on experience and skills.
