The Role

As the AI-Native Business Operator, you will be the architectural backbone of Aegis AI. While our top .1% security engineers build the "immune system" for email, you will build the "operating system" for the company. You will work closely with the CEO to bridge the gap between high-level strategy and operational discipline, ensuring that our rapid growth is supported by robust financial planning, optimized processes, and AI-driven decision-making.

This is a high-impact role for a strategic thinker who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves to build a world-class finance and ops function from the ground up.

Responsibilities

* Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Own the corporate model. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning. You will translate our technical roadmap into financial requirements and headcount plans.

* Strategic Growth & Analytics: Partner with GTM and Product teams to define and track North Star metrics (ARR, NRR, CAC/LTV). Build the dashboards that provide the leadership team with a real-time pulse on the business.

* Fundraising & Investor Relations: Partner with the CEO on future fundraising rounds. You will own the data room, manage investor reporting, and craft the financial narrative that secures our next stage of capital.

* Operational Excellence: Design and implement the systems and processes that allow us to scale. This includes managing our vendor stack, optimizing procurement, and overseeing legal/compliance workflows.

* Board & Stakeholder Management: Prepare high-stakes materials for Board of Directors meetings. Synthesize complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights for our Tier-1 investors.

* Capital Allocation: Act as a "General Manager" of our resources. Evaluate the ROI of new market entries, specialized AI model integrations, and strategic hires to ensure we are investing in the highest-leverage opportunities.

Who You Are

* AI-Native You're in 5+ AI tools every minute of every day. You're always find ways to do traditional tasks 10x faster.

* 4–7+ Years of Experience: Background in investment banking, private equity, or strategic finance at a high-growth SaaS/AI startup. You understand the nuances of venture-backed business cycles.

* High Agency "Fixer": You don't wait for a manual; you build the infrastructure. You can pivot from a complex tax/compliance discussion to a strategic conversation about GTM spend without missing a beat.

* Data-Driven & Technically Fluent: You are a master of Excel/SQL and financial modeling, but you also understand the "why" behind the tech. You can speak fluently about AI unit economics and infrastructure costs.

* The "General Manager" Mindset: You treat the company’s capital as your own. This role is a direct path to a future CFO or COO position.

* Master Communicator: You can distill dense financial spreadsheets into a compelling story for engineers, founders, and world-class investors alike.
