Job Overview

Quorum Software is building shared AI infrastructure to power AI and ML capabilities across its 30+ product portfolio. This role leads the data platform pillar, functioning as the foundation for smarter products. You will work at the intersection of technical architecture and organizational influence within the CTO office, turning strategic inputs into executable plans and driving cross-team adoption of shared data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Architecture & Delivery

* Design and own the data platform for AI/ML, including curated datasets, feature/embedding pipelines, data quality, lineage, governance, and access controls.

* Establish shared patterns and reusable components to enable consistent AI capability building across products.

* Build working prototypes and harden them into repeatable platform capabilities.

* Ensure production readiness regarding deployment, SLAs, observability, cost, and latency controls.

Cross-Team Influence & Adoption

* Partner with product and engineering leaders to identify AI opportunities and translate shared infrastructure benefits.

* Overcome organizational apathy by making the value of the shared data platform concrete.

* Coordinate globally to capture requirements, prioritize roadmaps, and integrate shared capabilities into product backlogs.

Autonomous Execution & Communication

* Translate fuzzy strategic direction into actionable plans and execute autonomously.

* Set priorities across diverse product lines, balancing platform needs against competing roadmaps.

* Communicate progress clearly to diverse stakeholders and present to C-suite leaders, translating technical tradeoffs into business language.

Technical Leadership

* Guide teams on AI solution selection (ML vs. LLMs vs. simpler approaches).

* Lead ML/LLM integration patterns: RAG, vector search, prompt management, model routing, and safety strategies.

* Improve ML literacy across engineering teams and maintain hands-on proficiency with cloud and tooling.

Requirements

* 5+ years of experience in data engineering, ML engineering, or hybrid AI/data roles with meaningful production experience.

* Proven ability to operate autonomously under ambiguous strategic direction.

* Track record of building cross-team buy-in for shared infrastructure, especially with skeptical stakeholders.

* Excellent communication skills with the ability to present confidently to executives and non-technical audiences.

* Strong background in both ML model development and data pipeline engineering.

* Hands-on experience with at least one cloud platform (Azure preferred) and ML frameworks (Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).

* Fluency with AI developer tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, etc.).

Preferred Skills

* Databricks experience (Unity Catalog, ML pipelines, data platform architecture).

* Experience establishing AI/ML practices from scratch in a multi-product organization.

* Familiarity with LLM fine-tuning, RAG architectures, and vector databases.

* Experience with time series forecasting, anomaly detection, or predictive analytics in industrial/operational domains.

* Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks and orchestration patterns.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $132,700 - $176,900 USD (Bi-weekly pay via direct deposit, commensurate with experience).
