Role Overview

We are hiring an AI Engineer to build production LLM applications, including RAG pipelines, agents, evaluations, and inference systems. In this role, you will work on real AI products that ship to real users. The ideal candidate is strong in Python, comfortable with ambiguity, and excited about designing evaluations and improving model reliability.

Key Responsibilities

- Build LLM-powered applications: RAG pipelines, agents, fine-tuning, and evaluations.

- Optimise inference latency, throughput, and cost across commercial and open models.

- Design prompts, evaluations, and feedback loops for reliability and quality.

- Work with vector databases, embeddings, and retrieval systems.

- Ship user-facing AI features and own their quality end-to-end.

- Collaborate with product, engineering, and research teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 2+ years of software engineering experience, with 1+ year working directly with LLMs.

- Strong Python and experience with at least one AI framework (LangChain, LlamaIndex, DSPy, or raw APIs).

- Experience with at least one vector database (Pinecone, Qdrant, Weaviate, pgvector).

- Prompt engineering and evaluation design experience.

- Comfort working with ambiguous, fast-moving problems.

- Strong written communication.

Preferred Qualifications

- Fine-tuning experience (LoRA, QLoRA, full fine-tuning).

- Multimodal AI experience (vision, audio, video).

- MLOps or production ML systems background.

- Published research, conference talks, or open-source AI contributions.

- Experience with inference optimisation or distributed training.
