Full Description

Company Description

Curamatic specializes in developing AI Agents designed to help healthcare organizations operate more efficiently and increase revenue. By leveraging cutting-edge artificial intelligence technologies, Curamatic empowers healthcare providers to improve operational processes while delivering enhanced services to patients. The company is committed to pushing technological boundaries to transform the healthcare industry and drive meaningful innovation.

About the Role

We’re looking for an AI Engineer to design and build intelligent systems that automate complex healthcare workflows—starting with AI agents that can accurately complete and process forms from messy, real-world inputs.

This is not a “chatbot” role. You’ll be building reliable, production-grade systems that combine LLMs, structured data extraction, and workflow automation in a high-stakes domain.

We’re also looking for someone who can teach and elevate our team, helping us build long-term internal capability—not just ship features.

What You’ll Do

* Design and build AI agents that can:

* Extract structured data from documents

* Reason over incomplete or messy inputs

* Automatically fill out and validate healthcare forms

* Build end-to-end workflows that integrate:

* LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)

* APIs and external systems

* Validation layers and human-in-the-loop review

* Develop systems for:

* Data extraction and normalization

* Schema mapping and validation

* Error handling and fallback logic

* Ensure accuracy, reliability, and auditability of all outputs

* Collaborate with product and ops teams to:

* Map real-world workflows

* Identify automation opportunities

* Ship incremental improvements quickly

* Document your work and teach the team how systems are designed and why

What We’re Looking ForCore Requirements

* 5+ years of experience in software engineering or applied AI

* Hands-on experience building applications with LLMs and agent frameworks

* Experience working with structured and unstructured data

* Experience integrating with APIs and external systems

* Bachelors in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or other technical discipline from a top tier university

Strong Plus

Experience with the following:

* Workflow automation systems (custom pipelines, Zapier, n8n, etc.)

* Automating user interfaces

* Healthcare data workflows (EHRs, claims, prior auth, etc.)

* HIPAA and data privacy best practices

* Evaluation, monitoring, and debugging LLM systems

How You Think

* You are a systems thinker—you break problems into components and design for reliability

* You care about accuracy and edge cases, not just demos

* You know when to use AI—and when not to

* You build with pragmatism over hype

Teaching & Collaboration

This role is not just about building—it’s about multiplying the team.

You should be comfortable:

* Explaining your approach clearly to non-experts

* Writing documentation and sharing best practices

* Helping others understand how to work with AI systems effectively

Why Join Us

* Work on high-impact healthcare problems where automation matters

* Build real AI systems, not demos

* Help define how AI is used across the company

* Shape both the product and the team’s capabilities

Compensation

* Competitive salary + equity (based on experience)

* Flexible depending on candidate profile and location (typical salary range is $140k to $170k)

* Health and dental benefits

* 401k
