AI Engineer

Deliberately.ai is seeking an AI Engineer to join the team. As an early technical leader on our team, you’ll have a front-row seat in defining our technology stack and engineering best practices.

We’re building a cutting-edge platform that leverages AWS (including ECS), AI/LLMs, and a modern frontend approach (using HTMX). As one of our first engineering hires, you’ll be pivotal in establishing our AI tech strategy. We operate in a mostly remote environment for now.

Responsibilities

* Own the end-to-end process of embedding large language models into our products, from experimentation to production deployment.

* Design, iterate, and optimize prompts to achieve high-quality responses that align with user and product requirements.

* Develop robust evaluation methodologies (quantitative and qualitative) to measure LLM performance and drive improvements.

* Leverage frameworks such as LangChain (or similar) to build powerful AI-driven features and microservices.

* Stay up-to-date with the latest in LLM research, tooling, and best practices, and actively bring new insights into the product development process.

Required Expertise

* Demonstrated success in deploying LLM-powered applications—whether via open-source models or commercial APIs.

* Deep understanding of how to craft prompts, systematically evaluate LLM output quality, and refine prompts iteratively.

* Proficiency in Python for building AI-driven pipelines and services.

* Comfort with designing and implementing production-grade APIs, especially for AI/ML services.

* Excellent communication skills to work closely with cross-functional partners in a fast-moving startup environment.
