AI Engineer
A.EngineerFull Description
TL;DR — LLMs and agentic flows are not a bolt-on at A.Engineer - they are the product. Build, tune, and evaluate the agentic systems that automate real engineering work.
ABOUT A.ENGINEER
Research shows that 40–80% of engineering work is still manual. A.Engineer will change that.
A.Engineer is an agentic AI platform that automates the manual work of structural and civil engineering. In contrast to many AI solutions, A.Engineer does not give answers, it does the job. Calculations, fully automated agentic workflows, and report generation, inside a single intelligent workspace. Engineers work faster without sacrificing control: every AI step is fully auditable, and every output is verified by a professional engineer.
We are a start-up born inside Tyréns Group's innovation programme Tyréns NEXT, combining the resources and domain depth of one of Europe's leading engineering consultancies with the speed and ambition of a founding team.
We launched across Europe in late 2025 and are now aiming to scale the business globally.

THE OPPORTUNITY
Engineering in AEC sector is one of the hardest domains to apply AI to: calculations must be correct, outputs must be auditable, and professionals must be able to stake their professional licence on the results. We have cracked the fundamentals. Now we need someone to push the AI capabilities dramatically further: better agents, smarter orchestration, rigorous evals, and continuous improvement. If you are excited by genuinely hard LLM engineering problems in a domain where the stakes are real, this is your role.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
* Build, evaluate, and improve LLM-powered agentic pipelines that automate engineering calculations and professional report generation.
* Design and orchestrate multi-step agents: tool use, reasoning chains, fallback logic, and output validation.
* Implement and improve agentic systems over structured and unstructured engineering data.
* Own evals: build benchmarks, experimentation pipelines, and feedback loops that make our agents measurably better over time.
* Stay at the frontier: evaluate new models and techniques continuously and bring the right ones into production.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
* Strong engineering fundamentals: you have built production systems that stay up, not just prototypes.
* Hands-on experience with LLMs in production: prompt engineering, tool/function calling, structured output, and latency management.
* Familiarity with agentic frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, or equivalent).
* A rigorous mindset about evals: you know that 'it seemed to work' is not a ship criteria.
* Curious and self-directed: you read the papers, follow the model releases, and have strong opinions backed by experiments.
* Bonus: experience with agent systems over domain-specific data, or work in a regulated professional services context.
WHAT WE OFFER
* Hard, genuinely novel AI engineering problems in a domain where reliability is non-negotiable.
* Direct access to users/engineers every day: the domain experts who can tell you whether the agent is actually right.
* Core team status: your technical decisions will define how A.Engineer's AI works for years.
* Hybrid working from Stockholm with access to strong compute.
* A product already delivering 25–35% time savings on real engineering work. The ceiling is much higher.
