AI-Driven Java Engineer

Job Title: Senior Java Engineer – GenAI & AI-Driven SDLC

Location: Toronto (Hybrid – 4 days onsite)

Type: Contract

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Java Engineer with experience in GenAI and AI-driven SDLC to build and modernize enterprise applications. The role focuses on developing scalable microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka while leveraging AI tools like GitHub Copilot, GPT, and Claude to enhance development productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs

* Build event-driven solutions using Kafka

* Leverage AI tools (Copilot, GPT, Claude) across SDLC

* Integrate GenAI capabilities into applications

* Collaborate in Agile teams and mentor junior developers

Required Skills:

* 6+ years of Java development experience

* Strong in Spring Boot and Microservices

* Hands-on Kafka experience

* Experience with GitHub Copilot or similar AI tools

* Knowledge of REST APIs, SQL/NoSQL, Agile

Nice to Have:

* GenAI/LLM integration experience

* Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) exposure

* CI/CD and DevOps knowledge

* Banking domain experience
