VCMx is developing Lilium Care — an AI-powered patient access and care navigation platform designed to fix one of Canada's most urgent problems: people can't get the care they need, when they need it. Millions of Canadians have no family doctor. Wait times are at record highs. Patients are falling through the cracks every single day.

We're not waiting for the system to fix itself. We're building the navigation layer it's missing.

Where we are: Design is complete. All three UX prototypes are finished. We're now hiring the specialist developers who will bring this platform to life. We are pre-MVP and actively pursuing our CAD $1.5M seed raise — this is ground-floor, founding-team energy.

The Role

As our AI Developer, your highest priority is building Lilium AI — the conversational assistant at the heart of our patient-facing platform. You'll design and implement the LLM integration, intent detection, navigation routing, and safety escalation flows that make Lilium Care work. You'll collaborate directly with Jennifer (Chief Project Designer) to translate completed UX prototypes into a functional, compliant AI layer.

This is a contract position (monthly retainer) with competitive, negotiable compensation and meaningful equity. Full-time employment post-funding is the goal.

You'll be responsible for:

* Designing and building the Lilium AI assistant (LLM integration)

* Implementing intent detection, navigation routing, and safety escalation

* Selecting and configuring the AI provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, or open-source)

* Building prompt guardrails and PHI separation controls

* Integrating the AI layer into patient mobile and desktop apps

* Documenting your architecture to support future team growth

What we're looking for:

* Hands-on AI/ML development experience — you build, not just advise

* Experience in a regulated industry (healthcare, finance, or legal) is a strong asset

* Working knowledge of PHIPA/PIPEDA compliance principles

* Proven ability to ship production AI features, not just prototypes

* Clear communicator who thrives in a collaborative, founder-led environment

* Based in Saskatchewan or anywhere in Canada (remote-friendly)

The Canadian healthcare system is broken. We're building the infrastructure to help navigate it — and we need a blockchain developer who gives a damn.

The Role

As our Blockchain Developer, you'll design and build the credential verification and audit trail layer that makes Lilium Care trustworthy and compliant. This is a focused, non-clinical blockchain implementation — no PHI on-chain, ever. Your work ensures that provider credentials are verified, system events are tamper-resistant, and the platform can demonstrate compliance to regulators, pilot clinics, and investors.

This is a contract position (monthly retainer) with competitive, negotiable compensation and meaningful equity. Full-time employment post-funding is the path forward.

You'll be responsible for:

* Designing and building the provider credential verification system

* Implementing a tamper-resistant audit trail for key system events

* Evaluating and selecting the right platform (Hyperledger Fabric vs. private Ethereum)

* Building lightweight smart contracts for non-clinical compliance use cases

* Ensuring zero PHI is stored on-chain

* Delivering a working proof-of-concept within 90 days

* Documenting your architecture thoroughly for future team onboarding

What we're looking for:

* Hands-on blockchain development experience — production deployments preferred

* Experience with Hyperledger Fabric or private/permissioned Ethereum networks

* Background in non-clinical or regulated-data blockchain use cases is a strong asset

* Understanding of Canadian data privacy law (PHIPA/PIPEDA) is a plus

* A builder mentality — you scope smart, deliver clean, and document well

* Highly communicative and collaborative; you keep stakeholders in the loop

* Based in Saskatchewan or anywhere in Canada (remote-friendly)
