AI and Automation Specialist

AI Automation Specialist | Johannesburg (In-office) | R25 000 – R40 000/month

Aiployee deploys AI voice agents for South African businesses. We're growing fast, and we need someone who can grow with us.

This is a hands-on delivery role. You'll sit with clients, understand their problems, and build working solutions on our platform. Think less "tech support" and more "solution architect who can actually ship." If you've ever looked at a broken business process and immediately started mentally designing a fix, you're the kind of person we want.

What you'll be doing

You'll report directly to our AI Automation Manager and work across the full client lifecycle, from onboarding through to ongoing delivery. Day-to-day, that means:

* Configuring and deploying AI voice agents on the Jobix.ai platform

* Building automation workflows that connect our agents to client systems via APIs

* Sitting in on client conversations and translating business problems into technical solutions

* Maintaining internal tooling and keeping our delivery infrastructure running smoothly

No-code tools like n8n, Make, or Zapier are part of the job. Coding in Python or JavaScript is a bonus, not a requirement.

What we're looking for

The non-negotiable is diagnostic thinking. You need to be able to sit across from a client, understand what's actually broken, and design something that fixes it. The technical skills matter, but they're secondary to that.

On the technical side, you should have solid experience with:

* AI prompt writing and agent configuration

* No-code automation platforms (n8n, Make, Zapier or similar)

* API integrations and connecting systems that weren't built to talk to each other

* Client-facing communication — you'll be talking to business owners and operations managers, not just developers

We use Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT and other AI tools constantly at Aiployee. We actively encourage it. What matters to us is that you've built real habits around these tools and know how to use them well, not just occasionally.

At least 1–2 years of hands-on experience is a good baseline. But if you're newer to the field and have a portfolio of things you've built, we want to see it. Show us what you've built. That matters more than years on a CV.

The role

Full-time, permanent, in-office in Johannesburg. You'll be part of a small team that's moving quickly, which means real ownership and no bureaucracy. R25 000 – R40 000 per month, depending on experience.
